VI Peel®
RENEW YOUR SKIN
A medical-grade, medium-depth chemical peel designed to rejuvenate the skin and treat issues like acne, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines.
About VI Peel®
VI Peel® is a medium-depth, medical-grade chemical peel designed to improve the appearance of skin tone, texture, pigmentation, acne, fine lines, and overall radiance. It helps exfoliate damaged surface skin, support cellular turnover, and reveal smoother, brighter-looking skin with less downtime than many more aggressive peel options. VI Peel® may be appropriate for a wide range of skin types and tones, including darker Fitzpatrick skin types, when performed appropriately by a trained provider. This treatment may help improve the appearance of sun damage, hyperpigmentation, melasma, acne, acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, rough texture, enlarged pores, dull skin, and early signs of aging.
How it Works
VI Peel® formulations commonly include a blend of ingredients such as Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA), Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, and Vitamin C. Some formulations also contain Kojic Acid to help address pigmentation concerns. These ingredients work together to exfoliate damaged skin, improve the appearance of discoloration, support collagen stimulation, and promote skin renewal. By encouraging cellular turnover, VI Peel® helps reveal healthier, smoother, and more radiant-looking skin. VI Peel® is available in multiple formulations, including VI Peel Original, VI Peel Advanced, and VI Peel Precision Plus + Peptides. Your provider will recommend the most appropriate option based on your skin type, concerns, medical history, and treatment goals.
What to Expect
VI Peel® is a quick, in-office treatment that typically takes about 20–30 minutes. During treatment, you may experience mild tingling, warmth, temporary redness, or a slightly yellow, tan, or bronzed appearance immediately afterward. Following treatment, the skin may feel tight, dry, sensitive, or appear slightly darker during the first few days. Peeling or flaking commonly begins around days three through five, often starting around the mouth and nose. By days six and seven, peeling typically begins to subside and brighter, refreshed skin starts to appear. Skin will continue to improve over the following days. Every client peels differently. Some clients peel heavily, some peel lightly, and some may not visibly peel at all. Even without significant peeling, clients can still experience the benefits of the treatment.
VI Peel® FAQs
-
Most clients experience minimal downtime. Peeling typically begins a few days after treatment and may last several days. Many people return to normal daily activities right away while following their aftercare instructions.
-
The VI Peel® may cause a mild tingling or warming sensation during application, and neurotoxin injections are generally well tolerated with only brief discomfort. Most clients find the treatment very manageable.
-
Neurotoxin results commonly last about 3–4 months, while improvements in skin tone, texture, and radiance from the VI Peel® can last for several weeks or longer with proper skincare and sun protection. Regular maintenance treatments can help prolong results.
