VI Peel®
RENEW YOUR SKIN
A medical-grade, medium-depth chemical peel designed to rejuvenate the skin and treat issues like acne, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines.
About VI Peel®
VI Peel® is a medium-depth, medical-grade chemical peel designed to improve the appearance of skin tone, texture, pigmentation, acne, fine lines, and overall radiance. It helps exfoliate damaged surface skin, support cellular turnover, and reveal smoother, brighter-looking skin with less downtime than many more aggressive peel options. VI Peel® may be appropriate for a wide range of skin types and tones, including darker Fitzpatrick skin types, when performed appropriately by a trained provider. This treatment may help improve the appearance of sun damage, hyperpigmentation, melasma, acne, acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, rough texture, enlarged pores, dull skin, and early signs of aging.
How it Works
The VI Peel works by combining a powerful blend of medical-grade ingredients—including trichloroacetic acid (TCA), retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, vitamin C, and, in select formulations, kojic acid—to exfoliate damaged outer layers of skin while stimulating collagen production and encouraging healthy cellular turnover. This process helps reveal smoother, brighter skin and improves overall skin tone and texture over time. Depending on your individual skin concerns, your provider may recommend the VI Peel Original, VI Peel Advanced for mature skin, or VI Peel Precision Plus + Peptides. The treatment is performed in-office and typically takes just 20–30 minutes. During the procedure, you may experience a mild tingling or warming sensation, and your skin may appear slightly yellow or bronzed immediately afterward as the peel solution begins working.
What to Expect
Your VI Peel treatment is quick and comfortable, with most appointments lasting about 20–30 minutes. Following treatment, your skin will begin its natural renewal process over the course of approximately one week. During the first one to two days, your skin may feel tight, dry, or slightly sensitive. Peeling and flaking typically begin between days three and five as damaged skin sheds, and by days six and seven, the peeling usually subsides to reveal smoother, brighter, and healthier-looking skin underneath. The amount of peeling varies from person to person, but this is a normal part of the rejuvenation process. To achieve the best results, it is important to follow your provider's post-treatment instructions, including moisturizing regularly, wearing sunscreen daily, avoiding picking or peeling the skin, and protecting your skin while it heals.
